# Digital Assets

Xcel Travel integrates digital assets to represent identity, access, and achievement across the platform. These assets are designed to be functional, non-speculative, and tied to real-world activity.

#### NFTs (Trail Passports)

**Trail Passports** are NFT-based assets that represent a user’s journey and status within the ecosystem.

**Key characteristics:**

* Object-based designs (e.g. travel boots, badges, passes)
* Tiered progression based on usage and milestones
* Optional marketplace access for eligible tiers

**Passport tiers include:**

* Bronze
* Silver
* Gold
* Elite

Trail Passports can unlock premium experiences, events, and partner benefits.

***

#### Soulbound Tokens (SBTs)

**Soulbound Tokens** are non-transferable digital records that verify real-world actions and presence.

**Use cases include:**

* Proof of stay at a verified location
* Attendance at events or conferences
* Participation in curated experiences

Example: A **Lisbon SBT** issued to verified attendees of a Lisbon-based event.

SBTs cannot be sold or transferred and exist purely as proof.

#### Xcel Card (Membership Asset)

The **Xcel Card** is a premium membership asset designed for verified and high-reputation users.

**Card features include:**

* Black and gold visual identity
* Access to premium listings and partner perks

#### Asset Design Philosophy

All digital assets within Xcel Travel follow three core principles:

* **Utility over hype**
* **Identity over speculation**
* **Experience over trading**

Assets are earned through participation, not shortcuts.
